About Us
ESAC is an independent nonprofit organization that provides a free sports program to children ages 7 – 16. We operate in and outside of school, encouraging children to start practicing sports early in their lives by helping them to discover and develop athletic skills. ESPAC recognizes the significant role that sports and physical activity play in creating greater opportunities for children in places like the CONGO. We believe that childhood education goes beyond school. We help kids stay active and busy, so they enjoy better health and a higher level of physical fitness that can lead to greater opportunities. Our mission is to provide a safe, inspiring and positive environment for children of all backgrounds.
Our Goals
Our main goal is to reach as many children as possible, providing a well-structured sports program with tools and technical training that will maximize their athletic performance without undermining their formal education. Congo, like most African countries, has a young and rapidly growing population that faces a challenging ethnic and geopolitical environment.
Our Mission
Using highly inclusive sports like tennis, basketball, and soccer, we bring children together and teach them good values like discipline, hard work, and respect. Our mission is not only to create quality athletes, but also to develop good citizens, young people who understand personal responsibility. Most of all we try to teach them how to have a positive impact on our society, believing that better athletes make better people.
Tennis, Soccer, and Basketball
Until now tennis has been our only focus. Despite the success we had with tennis, we decided to extend our program to more sports so that we can reach even more children. Our program currently includes tennis, basketball, and soccer. Our main objective is to build a sports training center, where child participants can have the minimum sports facility and equipment needed for their training.
The Republic of the Congo
The Republic of the Congo, like most African countries, has a young and rapidly growing population that faces a challenging ethnic and geopolitical environment. Creating a sports academy in Africa is a challenging task, which is why we welcome any help we can get through personal donations (monetary, sports equipment, clothing) or corporate sponsorship, those who believe that all children deserve a place to play, work, and dream.
Get Involved
ESAC’ s founder Franck Kombo, a certified tennis professional, who lives in New Jersey and who takes a few months off from his regular job to go to Africa to help organize and run this program. Please feel free to contact him to discuss ways you may able to help this initiative.
